Designed with a wider pedestal, the Glassgate 250 can accommodate the integration of a wider range of third-party user authentication devices. The glass barriers – as with other Speedgate models – move intuitively and quickly to close behind an authorised user, deterring tailgaters. In the event of other authorised users trying to use the lane, the barriers will stay open, even if they are walking in the opposite direction.
This model features pedestal height dual swinging glass barriers to intelligently control traffic flow while maximising throughput. The infrared optical system identifies tailgaters as close as 5mm from the authorised pedestrian, thus enforcing a one pass/one entry policy, and can process up to 1 pedestrian per second. The locking brake option prevents pedestrians from trying to gain access by pushing through the closed barriers.
The end panel profile is available with round or square options, and the enclosure is finished using 304 brushed stainless steel with Deep Black Quartz Corian for concealed reader mounting. Special finishes and decorative top options are available.
Each lane has a Fastlane Connect web server to provide LAN functionality for remote control and support.
