    Trafic Bollard EP 600 EM/EP 800 EM

    ELKA traffic bollards EP 600-EM and EP 800-EM made of weather-resistant V4A stainless steel, electromechanical, 48V DC voltage, with maintenance-free BLDC motor and high efficiency, running time from approx. 4.0s or 5.0s, cylinder height 600mm or 800mm, with 273mm diameter, designed for 5 million cycles, with up to 2,000 cycles per day.

    Can be used for access control or as a protective barrier in pedestrian zones, access roads or on commercial properties. Pedestrians and cyclists can pass through unhindered, while vehicles are subject to access control.

    The wall thickness of the cylinder of 4 mm is increased to 8 mm in the highly stressed area by a reinforcing tube. There is a reflective sticker and programmable LED lighting at the top end of the cylinder. Thanks to a translucent wiper ring, this is clearly visible even when retracted. The bollard can be manually emergency unlocked in the cover (patent pending), e.g. using a fire department triangle.

    Power is supplied via a wide-range power supply unit.

    Thanks to the waterproof motor and gear unit (protection class IP 68), the bollard can be submerged in water for short periods.

    The separately available controller can control up to three bollards (max. cable length 80m). Includes connection options for external components, e.g. three loop detectors for induction loops, radio, RFID. Soft start and soft stop ensure a smooth operation. In accordance with performance level PLc, the controller has digital and analog safety-related inputs for e.g. laser scanners, dead man's mode, light barrier with activatable test function. The integrated force monitoring with automatic reversal protects the bollard from overloading when it is raised (e.g. if a car is standing on the bollard).

    Eyelets on the base plate serve as a mounting aid for positioning the bollard. ELKA offers a selection of different installation options, e.g. also without a foundation. The bollard is supplied without pre-assembled cables. The cables are easily connected using WAGO terminals and gel casting. The particularly low installation depth (852mm or 1,052mm, depending on the height of the cylinder) is ideal for installation in urban areas with existing supply lines. With an appropriate foundation, the highest possible impact loads of 33,000J without destruction or 200,000J with destruction are achieved.

    The end positions are monitored by the motor.

    The bollard lifts up a few centimetres during the upward movement with the optional start function (patent pending). The LED lighting is visible to traffic. The bollard only rises fully after a set waiting time.

    If a thin layer of ice has formed on the ground in cold weather, the bollard with the optional ice-breaker function (patent pending) briefly lifts with greater force when raised. The ice breaks and the bollard can be raised properly.

    Can be used in a temperature range from -20 °C to +50 °C. Optionally with acoustic warning device.
