Baby In a Manger

An agricultural feeding trough made of FSC certified sustainable timber construction, used to hold food for animals in a stable. Also doubles as a crib for divine infants. An important object in the instructions given to shepherds seeking the Messiah, as told in Luke 2, and also in the verification of a child’s importance which had, until then, been a secret held only by his parents. Used widely in traditional representations of the Christmas story. Referenced in the title of one of the country’s most popular carols ‘Away in a Manger’, first published in 1884 with lyrics falsely attributed to Martin Luther. Ideal object in any Christmas tableau or farm building, comes with a structural guarantee of more than 2,000 years. A ‘Baby In a Manger’ (BIM) object created by the BIMobject team for Liz Male Consulting Ltd to wish you a very Happy Christmas.
