SINGLE DOOR SLIDING OVER A GLAZED SCREEN AND WALL

• Description - Manual aluminium framed sliding internal glazed door system with the door sliding over a glazed screen and a wall. Door to be severe duty standard including sliding door mechanism.

• Doorset Specification - The aluminium doorset to be formed from non-thermal aluminium extruded box section and to include a self-supporting "goal post" frame consisting of two jambs (152mm and 100mm x 45mm profiles) and a 125mm x 100mm transom bar with a 7mm reinforced face. The opening leaf will close onto the "slam post" which that forms part of the jamb. The frame to fit within the structural opening (refer to door schedule for dimensions) with the door sliding over a glazed screen. The glazed fixed panel to offer additional structural support to the frame to reduce deflection.
• Handing – Left (F01L) or right hand (F01R) door opening viewed from pelmet side. Refer to drawing and door schedule.
• Track System - The sliding door to employ a "low friction" recirculating bearing system & track. A "damper" mechanism (not self or soft closing) to be installed and active when the door is at the closed and fully open positions. A pelmet to conceal the track and complete with a "hold open" lid for ease of maintenance.
• Sliding Door & Glazed Screen – Formed from various 100mm x 47mm aluminium profiles. The door to be prepared with a bottom channel to operate with a floor mounted nylon guide. Refer to door schedule for panel dimensions and overall track length.
• Material Finish – SAA (satin anodised aluminium)
• Seals - Neoprene seals to be fitted to the leading edge of the sliding door, the rear stile facing the fixed screen and on the transom bar.
• Handles - One pair of "back to back" nylon handles, 600mm in length, to be fitted to the sliding door leaf.

• Structural Support - The doorset will be fixed to suitable supports (e.g. masonry or structural steels). Assessment by clients Structural Engineer and installed by the Building Contractor. Refer to Manufacturer’s drawings for Type F01.

• Clear Opening Width – Refer to door schedule (distance between frame and leading edge of door when in the fully open position).
• Clear Opening Height - Refer to door schedule (distance between bottom of pelmet & FFL).
• Force Testing – The manual sliding doors should be easily operated by hand. The sliding doors to be digitally force tested 3 times (distance determined by door width). A certificate to be issued showing the mean average opening & closing force of 10N (+/-5N) with test data in graph format. Refer to door schedule and manufacturer’s door parameters.
