Materials and surface treatments

Powder coated Steel RAL / Sablé.
Aluminum sheet.

The planters are made from Ø6 mm aluminium wire with a base made in 10 mm steel plate. All steel is galvanised and powder-coated in standard colours black/red RAL 3007, green/grey RAL 160 70 10, black RAL 9004, white RAL 9010 and yellow RAL 1003.

Steel

Nola uses high-quality steel of good strength in our products. Steel rusts if left untreated and must therefore be surface treated. For this we use two main methods for surface treatment of steel parts; electrogalvanizing and powder coating as well as hot-dip galvanizing.

Powder coating

Powder coating is a coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. Unlike conventional liquid paint, powder coating is usually applied electrostatically and then cured under heat or with ultraviolet light. The result is an even, hard-wearing coloured surface with the desired gloss level.

Assembly and placement

Freestanding. The individual parts should be bolted together on site.

Products that are powder-coated can be touch-up painted with alkyd paint if necessary.
