Renderoc SFBD - Repair mortar (R3)

Cementitious mortar for the reinstatement of both large and small, localised areas of reinforced concrete. Renderoc SFBD is specially formulated to carry out permanent repairs of any type on concrete and masonry.

It is a high resistance reinstatement mortar modified with polymers and fibres to provide a mortar with compensated shrinkage and excellent thermal compatibility with concrete, essential for long-lasting structural repair. The mortar is appropriate when high resistance is required against chlorides and carbon dioxide.

Renderoc SFBD is a Class 3 mortar in accordance with EN1504-3.

It is included in the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD): Global EPD 006-024.

Renderoc SFBD is supplied as a ready to use powder mixture, which only requires clean water to be added on site to make a highly resistant mortar with the right consistency.

The material has a base of Portland cement, selected aggregate, special loads, chemical additives, fibres and polymers, which provide a mortar with compensated shrinkage and thermal compatibility with concrete, essential for long-lasting structural repair.

    Advantages

    • It can be applied by the wet spray process for fast, exceptionally high build repairs with enhanced characteristics.
    • Abrasion resistance.
    • Compensated shrinkage. Large surfaces areas can be repaired with no shrinkage.
    • Its formulation makes it suitable for application without shuttering on vertical surfaces and ceilings, with the subsequent time and cost savings.
    • Excellent adherence to concrete substrates.
    • Low permeability. Special additives ensure optimum density providing maximum protection against carbon dioxide and chloride ions.
    Specification
    • The repair mortar shall be Renderoc SFBD, a one component cementitious repair mortar conforming to the requirements of EN 1504-3 Class R3.  It´s suitable for thicknesses: vertical 6-50 mm, horizontal 6-100 mm and overhead 6-20 mm.

The repair mortar shall exhibit a 1 day compressive strength not less than 10 MPa and a 28 day compressive strength of 30 MPa (at 20ºC).  The product shall be mixed and placed in accordance with the manufacturer´s written instructions to a correctly prepared substrate.
