The TECHNICA-10 roofing tile is an innovative flat tile in a Marseilles roof tile style. Safer and technologically up to date, is the most versatile format on the market. A combination of tradition and technology to make all kinds of projects possible, from the most avant-garde to the most classic.
Manufactured using plaster moulds and H-cassette production, we obtain a product with detail definition, more compact clay and very low absorption (< Klinker) and extremely strong. TECHNICA-10 complies with mountain climate. It stands out by its design the two deep channels and the perfect and deep interlocking fittings with high level of tightness, being a reliable product at low slope (Moby Dick II tested – CTMNC -Paris). 
The Red roof tile is the most traditional product that joins rural and historic centres in all landscapes.

Specification
  • The TECHNICA-10 roof tile is a large compact flat clay roof tile, very light and strong. It is a perfectly flat format (10 units/sq.m,) and has VARIABLE batten distance. TECHNICA-10 roof tile can be installed in a continuous or staggered formation. TECHNICA-10 is a BorjaTECH product, certified by Aenor, Afnor and complies to mountain climate. 

    Characteristics of the TECHNICA-10 roof tile per unit:

     • Width: 262 mm

     • Weight: 3.15 kg/ roof tiles

     • Units per sq.m.: 10,7 roof tiles

     • Batten distance - VARIABLE: 270 - 410 mm

     • Units per eave line: 4,5 roof tiles

     • Minimum slope recommended: 35% - 19º (*)

     • Useful width: 258 mm

     • Pack: 5 roof tiles

    Tejas Borja recommends dry installation for TECHNICA-10 roof tile, using screws or special roofing adhesive. TECHNICA-10 roof tile has pre-marked holes specially designed for screw installation. If the roof tiles are installed on battens, the useful length must be calculated on site.

    A tolerance of ± 2% is allowed on the dimensions of the roof tiles according to UNE-EN 1024.To ensure the good performance of the roof, the under-tile ventilation is always necessary. This will guarantee the durability of the TECHNICA-10 roof tiles used to build up the roof with their optimal characteristics, improving the hygrothermal performance of the roof against the moisture resulting from condensation.Installation must comply with Code of practice for the design and fixing of roofs with clay roofing tiles for the region and Tejas Borja specifications.

    (*) In zone 1 (protected area), arranged in staggered formation with waterproof laminate and batten distance of 380 mm on a skirt of up to 6.5 m. Check pitch panel according to the roof length and the geographical area according to UNE-EN 136020.
